Yesterday and today have been excellent days so far for Mackenzie. She is finally back to being her normal, puppy dog self and is eating well too (finally!) The best part is she’s begging for food. Never thought I’d be happy about saying that but I’ll definitely take it – a great sign for recovery! She’s been so energetic, hopping everywhere and even playing our little chase game we played before she was diagnosed. She’s even barking at me to help her find her ball hidden under the coffee table. She always knows where her balls are hiding and then stands there and talks to me until I fetch them for her. And when her little brother Kobe has a ball, she of course wants that ball and not the one that I just gave her. Kobe and Mackenzie both were groomed yesterday and now they look like complete Golden fluff balls and so cute with their cowboy bandanas around their necks. It’s been a great couple of days for sure!

Mackenzie and Kobe are so adorable!! Love those pictues with the bandanas!!
Glad to hear that Mackenzie is having good days now and even begging for food! Jake always begged for food, before and after cancer! He always acted like we were starving him to death… 🙂
Mackenzie looks so much like Jake, except lighter…
I hope that Mackenzie continues to do well for a long, long time!!!

Hurray MacKenzie!
You look happy and well. You both got a nice groom. My mom says she is going to have me groomed once my incision is all healed. I’ve only been groomed once and I pretty much hated it so not looking forward to that again..Oh well, people are crazy.
With what you said “She always knows where her balls are hiding and then stands there and talks to me until I fetch them for her” sounds like she has YOU trained! My Chloe will talk to me when she gets impatient when I am holding her squeaker and I haven’t thrown it yet. This can be seconds after she hands me the slobbery toy…
